Intro to CranioSacral Therapy Classes:

 

1. 2-day Intro to CST workshop: April 8-9,2017 in Reno, NV-

2-day Intro CST workshop is a  class specially designed for Massage Therapists, Body workers or Healthcare providers who have always wanted to learn the very basics of Craniosacral Therapy so they can become and more effective as a therapist or practitioner.

 

This is an introductory level class for those who want to learn history, concepts and basic techniques to add to an existing practice or treatment session.

Techniques to include:

  • Palpation of Craniosacral Rhythm;

  • SQAR and how to use to evaluate body via Craniosacral Rhythm, Fascia

  •  Diaphragm holds

  •  Still point, sacral and Dural tube evaluation

  • Therapeutic Presence -therapist learns to stay present during a session; maintain healthy professional boundaries before, during and after a therapeutic session.

 

This 2-day class will be a combination of lecture, demo, and hands on practice.  The focus will be on learning how to apply these gentle noninvasive techniques to relieve symptoms, reduce stress, manage pain and promote relaxation. 

 

Techniques learned will be an important addition to your existing treatment protocol, greatly enhancing your therapeutic effectiveness.

2. Basics to CranioSacral Therapy-

This 4-hour class is a  class specially designed for Massage Therapists, Body workers or Healthcare providers who have always wanted to learn the very basics of CranioSacral Therapy so they can become and more effective as a therapist or practitioner.   This class is an overview with the emphasis being on a few techniques, brief history, and some basic craniosacral anatomy.

 

Techniques learned can be used to relieve symptoms,  reduce stress, manage pain and promote relaxation. Also, address the importance of Therapeutic presence which is a great tool to address transference and counter transference and is a powerful tool to stay present during a session and helps to set the proper intention before work even begins. 

 

If time permits briefly look at a TMJ decompression technique as a bonus.

 

This effective therapy enhances the body’s innate or natural healing process and can be used to identify and alleviate the root causes of numerous conditions to include chronic headaches, migraines, chronic back and neck pain, fatigue and nervous system conditions.

 

This workshop is meant to give the therapist a taste to this modality.
